The Asset Planning and Operations Manager is responsible for the preparation and delivery of asset operational and maintenance functions across Doutta Galla. Reporting to the General Manager Strategic Assets and Property Development, the focus is on cyclic planning and delivery in a continuous improvement context. Key to the operation and maintenance of assets is a focus on resident experience and value for money, safety and compliance whilst ensuring organisation sustainability.About the role:Lead and/or contribute to Asset and Property portfolio planning activitiesProduce, deliver and document Doutta Galla’s  maintenance programsFacilitate capital work projects and contribute to all stages in the lifecycle of these projectsProvide technical and business studies and reports, and ensure relevant reporting and record keepingProcure projects including production of a procurement strategy, project and probity plan, specification design and tender, mobilisation, execution, defects liability and post occupancy reportingArrange inspections and assessments to identify emerging maintenance requirements and respond accordinglyProduce and implement a comprehensive works supervision and inspection frameworkAs client representative, manage minor capital projects within Doutta Galla HomesEnsure safety and isolation plans are in place for all construction projectsDesign and implement a centralised maintenance coordination systemContribute to Doutta Galla’s strategic planning through research and production of papers for the Executive and BoardSupport General Manager Strategic Assets and Property Development in delivery of portfolio responsibilities, including deputising in the roleAbout you:Ideally you will bring with you:Sound knowledge of competitive purchasing in the asset (construction and maintenance) sectorCapacity to manage a diverse range of programs and activitiesSound financial budgeting skills with demonstrated understanding of zero-based maintenance budgetingWell-developed report and proposal writing skillsLeadership skills, capable of leading staff and contractors to work productively to achieve operations objectives through the safe, compliant, and efficient application of internal processes and contemporary maintenance practiceTrade, tertiary or post tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline will be well regardedAbout us:Doutta Galla Aged Services is a not-for-profit aged care organisation.
