We are seeking dedicated, friendly and experienced Food Services Assistants to join the team at our Doutta Galla Woornack home, located in Sunshine. About the role:You will need to be available to work afternoon shifts (2.30pm to 8pm) as an Food Services Assistant and ideally you will also be able to step up to work on occasion as a Cook/Chef to cover leave/absence.As a Food Services Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high quality hospitality service and catering support to the residents. As part of the role you will be predominantly:Assisting with meal preparation and presentationDelivery and serving of resident mealsCleaning of kitchens, dining rooms and other food areasWhat you will bring:Current Food Handling/Food Safety CertificateExperience in an Aged Care kitchen environment (preferred) and food services A passion for providing quality, relationship based individual serviceDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Food Safety regulations, guidelines, standards and relevant legislationKnowledge of OH&S and infection control specific to cateringAbility to work in a fast paced environment and as part of a teamEffective and positive communication skillsDemonstrates excellence in customer service at all timesExcellent time management is essential Appropriate Chef Qualifications or Trade Cook certificate or equivalent will be highly regardedWhy work for us?Doutta Galla Aged Services is a not for profit aged care organisation with over thirty years’ experience caring for people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
