The Role:
An exceptional opportunity has arisen Reporting to the Chief Client Officer the Accreditation and Quality Project Lead is responsible for overseeing and guiding the preparation of the Residential Aged Care homes for successful accreditation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support clinical and care quality management systems, processes and best practices ensuring they are consistently implemented and maintained throughout the organisation.
- Ensure key clinical, quality and safety issues and risk areas are prioritised and appropriate focus applied across the organisation.
- Ensure relevant reports, data and analysis is provided as required to fulfil the organisation’s reporting requirements.
- Actively participate in the organisation’s review of its model of care, ensuring a person-centred approach and continuum of care and implementation of agreed outcomes.
- Participate in responses, as required, to regulatory agencies such as Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive accreditation work plan
As the successful candidate you will have the following experience and skills:
- Registered Nurse with current APHPRA registration and proven experience in quality management and aged care leadership.
- Post graduate qualifications in Gerontology, Clinical Governance, Aged Care, Aged Psychiatry, Management, Health or similar will be well regarded
- Expertise in leading and developing resource-effective organisation wide clinical governance and quality improvement systems.
- Positive leadership style and demonstrated commitment to delivering and supporting the strategic direction and culture set by the organisation regarding the quality and safety of clinical care.
- Extensive knowledge of Commonwealth and State regulatory frameworks and requirements including the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Strong influencing skills to obtain compliance with clinical processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop and promote learning.
- Highly developed collaboration, negotiation, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
