The Role:
Reporting directly to the Resident Services Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of resident focused clinical care services including care planning, review, and assessment of all aspects of clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure comprehensive clinical and specialized nursing care is provided, documented, and tailored to each resident's needs by our clinical staff
- Prioritise residents and their families in decision-making, considering their preferences, independence, dignity, and identified care-related risks
- Oversee and conduct all scheduled AN-ACC reappraisals, including mandatory and voluntary assessments, as required
- Hold Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) accountable for daily case reporting, care planning, and addressing patient concerns promptly
- Conduct routine clinical assessments to promptly address identified gaps in care.
What you bring:
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse DIV 1 registration with no conditions.
- Dedication to resident care and support.
- Excellent clinical knowledge regarding medical conditions, palliative care and care of people living with dementia, including
managing challenging behaviours.
- Advanced clinical skills and experience in managing outbreaks and emergency situations.
- Proven ability to motivate and lead staff, promoting a positive work environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal and written skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with residents, resident representatives and other health professionals.
- Strong planning, time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to complete reporting and conduct trend analysis and observations to inform best practice care.
- A good understanding of the Aged Care Act and its principles, Aged Care Standards, and AN-ACC funding and palliative care funding.
