Learning and Volunteer Coordinator â Parental Leave
The Role:
The Learning and Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for coordination of training, preparation of learning resources, coordination of the student placement program, and oversees the learning management systems. This role is also responsible for coordinating the volunteer requirements of the organisation. This includes overseeing advertising and recruitment which includes selection, onboarding, induction, training, rewarding and recognising Doutta Galla volunteers.
Reporting to the Learning and Organisational Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to development and management of the training calendar across the organisation, including on-line and facilitated learning programs
- Assist the Learning and Organisational Development Manager to coordinate training programs, including the development of learning resources
- Promote education and learning opportunities, liaising with all Residential Service Managers and Admin staff
- Coordinate the registration of employees to learning sessions across the organisation
- Liaise with external training providers to arrange training sessions for staff based on roles and needs
- Assist with facilitation of induction sessions (or other training) as required.
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training and development programs.
- Oversee the learning management system, as well as employee data, ensuring information is accurate and up to date on all required systems.
- Prepare and coordinate online learning batch allocations where required.
- Coordinate and support the management of the student placement program
As the successful candidate you will have the following experience and skills:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in aged care
- Qualifications in education, community services, volunteer management or a related field
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confident using MS Office and learning new systems with attention to details
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Working collaboratively with external training providers
- Developing policies and procedures for volunteers.
