Are you an experienced Aged Care Registered Nurse / Care Manager?We have a rewarding position at Doutta Galla Aged Care for a Roving Care Manager. This role will provide support and relief nursing management across Doutta Galla’s Residential Aged Care Homes, seven of which are in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs and one is in Shepparton.The Role:As a Roving Care Manager, you will be provide clinical direction to nursing teams and care staff across our homes. Whilst this is a full-time role Monday to Friday, due to the nature of the role it requires the flexibility to work across our homes.Duties will include:Delivering clinical care services, care planning, review and assessment of all aspects of clinical care.Ensuring an effective and customer focused service delivery for all residents.Providing clinical support and advice to all staff; including staff management and performance reviews.Assessing, planning, implementing, delivering and evaluating care for residents in accordance with scope of practice and co-ordinated health and allied health services care planning; ensuring safe and effective evidence-based care.Ensuring that accurate, comprehensive documentation is collated and completed to meet funding stream requirementsWhat you will bring:AHPRA Registered Nurse Division 1 registrationPrevious experience in an aged care leadership roleDedication to resident care and supportExcellent clinical knowledge regarding medical conditions, palliative care, and care of people living with dementia including managing challenging behavioursHigh level interpersonal and written skillsExperience managing staff and performance managementAbility to effectively communicate with residents, resident representatives and other health professionalsA good understanding of the aged care reform agenda, including AN-ACC funding and royal commission recommendations related to clinical careAccreditation knowledge & experienceThe Organisation:Doutta Galla Aged Services is a not for profit aged care organisation with over thirty years’ experience caring for people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
